Education 1 - The foundation for successful welding (Basic Course)
 
Safety and prevention of accidents: for laser radiation of the class IV, 10 commandments of laser protection, Important steps before commissioning of the laser.

Construction and operation of laser equipment (closed coverage type and open coverage type of systems): function of the YAG-Laser, Guidance on specific skills in handling with YAG laser in manual operation, specific to tool making, mold construction and sheet metal handling.

Handling and maintenance of the laser: parameter settings

Usage and application areas: properties of tool steels, weld ability, proper selection of the welding additives and the welding process, proper selection of the protective gas.

Practical exercises: pre-treatment of work pieces, the parameters for a successful tool repair, seam build up (wetting between the base material and welding additive), deposition welding, modification welding, edges repair,repair or modification of work pieces, results of the rework of welds.
 
At the end of  the course the participant receives a course confirmation.

Laser Welding Education 2 - Detailed knowledge of creative welding (Professional Course)

Safety and prevention of accidents: short summary on laser safety for manual laser systems (repetition)

Construction and functionality of laser welding systems: equipment operating as well as the optimal parameter selection.Elements before laser welding and material science: entry into laser processing of conventional tool steels (1.2379, 1.2343, 1.2767, 1.2738 etc.) with the corresponding welding additives, with in mind of the individual specialties.

Usage and application areas: laser welding of complex applications

Practical exercises: aluminium welding, Ampco, Cu, steel alloys use of a mobile laser welding system  possibilities and impact on rework of weld seams

Qualification: Laser welding education I or laser welders with basic knowledge

Target group: Tool making laser welder, laser welders, technicians, newcomer, laser safety commissary

Course target:
Extensive information about laser welding, laser safety and functionality as well as application possibilities,
self-dependent operation of laser welding systems as well as meet the complex laser welding tasks.
Independent selection of  the optimum welding parameters as well as the correct selection of welding additives.
 
At the end of  the course the participant receives a course certificate.
